Susie specialises in developing strategies and practical plans that deliver positive change across the economic, social and environmental aspects of organisations and projects. She set up Earth to Ocean Ltd in 2009 to provide specialist advice to the sport sector and has been at the forefront of creating innovative solutions for international sporting programmes and embedding environmental and sustainability management systems into organisations.
Susie has established and implemented sustainability programmes across sport including the TEAM ORIGIN America’s Cup team, London Olympic Games 2012, Ryder Cup 2014, and the World Sailing International Federation, IAAF – World Athletics and Rugby League World Cup 2021. She has led and delivered award winning sustainability programme for America’s Cup campaigns and currently leads on international sailing league, SailGP’s sustainability programme and Goodwood’s Estate wide Sustainability programme.
Susie has a PhD in integrated coastal management and a MSc in water and environmental management. In 2017, Susie was awarded BOAT International Seafarer’s award and Business Green’s Sustainability Leader of the Year and in 2019 was awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
